Rotary Scholarship Fund Tax Receipt is mailed
The Rotary Club of Thomaston, a 501-C-3 organization, actively supports the community’s needs with its’ Fuel Fund, Crisis Fund, Community Grants, as well as the Scholarship Fund which this event’s proceeds will directly benefit. Each year the Rotary Club of Thomaston awards over $15,000 in scholarship to students of Thomaston. This year’s scholarships will be awarded in honor of Mary Beth Johnson.

Thomaston Opera House Renovation Project Tax Receipt is mailed
As Thomaston Opera House celebrates its 140th anniversary, we are committed to investing in critical renovations to ensure that the Opera House has a vibrant and thriving future.
The proposed project will transform the community by creating employment opportunities, boosting tourism, enriching cultural experiences, revitalizing the downtown area, and promoting diversity and social cohesion. It aligns with the power of art and culture to bring people together, tell shared stories, and strengthen the overall character of the community.
The renovations have three components:
1) Restoring the Opera House's original artwork, including refurbishing the spectacular Romanesque ceiling. 2) Installation of a large stage-accessible elevator for mobility-challenged individuals. 3) Improving energy efficiency by upgrading windows and the heating/cooling system.
